Please report to the south end of the field/track at 6:40 PM to be recognized during the playing of the National Anthem. Thank you for your service to our country and community. New Cell Phone Law for Texas Students A new state law will impact student cell phone use starting in the 2025–2026 school year. Texas House Bill 1481, signed by Governor Greg Abbott on June 20, 2025, includes the following: -Students may not use cell phones inside school buildings during instructional hours. -All Texas public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools must adopt and enforce policies to comply. Lyford CISD is currently reviewing our district policies to meet these new requirements. More details will be shared before the start of the school year so our families can prepare.
